Battersea Power Station continues to celebrate its year-long ‘A Station of Stories’ campaign with a summer of literary-inspired experiences, live performances, workshops and events for visitors of all ages.

Men Little Miss celebrates its 55^th anniversary with a month-long programme featuring a free interactive trail, arts and crafts sessions, character appearances and unmissable in-store activations.

Battersea Power Station will host panel discussion ‘A Station of Stories: In Conversation with Young Adult Authors’, bringing together some of today’s most exciting writers.

Plus, visitors can enjoy a full line-up of unmissable events hosted by brands including Waterstones, Moleskine, Arches Lane Theatre and NEON at Battersea Power Station throughout the summer.

The riverside neighbourhood’s South East Asia festival, celebrASIA, also returns this September with a new literature-focused panel, featuring acclaimed authors Khairani Barokka and Ivy Ngeow, exploring identity, heritage and storytelling.

With the school holidays now in full swing, Battersea Power Station is celebrating a summer of stories with a varied programme of literary-inspired experiences, family-friendly activities and live entertainment as part of A Station of Stories, the year-long campaign celebrating storytelling that brings books, creativity and imagination to life across the riverside destination.

Kick starting the summer programme is a month-long Mr. Men Little Miss 55^th anniversary takeover, delivered in partnership with Sanrio. The takeover pays tribute to the very first book in the series, Mr. Tickle, which was first published on 10^th August 1971.

Visitors can follow a free interactive birthday-themed character trail throughout the Power Station from 3^rd – 30^th August, using a map to discover hidden characters and unlock free downloadable gifts along the journey. From 8^th – 10^th August the fun continues with ticketed Mr. Men Little Miss inspired arts and crafts sessions, including make your own creative bag charms, wooden characters, door plaques, and interactive storytelling sessions. Special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)-friendly sessions will also take place during the morning sessions, providing a relaxing and inclusive setting. Plus, everyone’s favourite Mr. Tickle will make special guest appearances during the sessions on 8th and 9th August.

Several brands inside the iconic Power Station will join the festivities, including Waterstones, with  free arts and craft colouring sheets available for families to complete in-store. Plus, throughout August its popular Sunday storytelling sessions at 11.30am will be dedicated to Mr. Men Little Miss books on 9^th, 16^th, 23^rd and 30^th August. Moleskine will also host free Mr. Men Little Miss colouring bookmark walk-in sessions for children on Friday 7^th August and Monday 10^th August, while The Cinema in The Power Station will offer special family-friendly morning screenings of heritage Mr. Men Little Miss episodes from Tuesday to Saturday throughout August, priced at £3.

For teenagers looking to get creative this summer, Battersea Power Station is hosting ‘A Station of Stories: In Conversation with Young Adult Authors’ on Sunday 23^rd August, from 11am-12pm on Level 1, Turbine Hall A. Designed for teenagers and young readers, the event will explore the joy of reading, creativity and storytelling through a live author panel, before finishing with an interactive writing workshop and audience Q&A.

Other unmissable A Station of Stories events taking place throughout the summer include:

• A new stage adaption of Treasure Island comes to Arches Lane Theatre from 30^th July – 16^th August, where three actors bring all twelve characters from Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic adventure to life.
• Horrible Histories takes over Ramses & the Pharaoh’s Gold: The Exhibition at NEON at Battersea Power Station from 27^th July – 30^th August. This exclusive six-week experience invites families to step into the world of the awesome Egyptians with interactive terrible tours led by Ramses himself, live performances and much more.
• Book lovers can continue the literary journey at Waterstones Battersea Power Station, with a free monthly book club hosted at The Cinema in The Power Station’s premium lounge bar alongside a programme of author-led events in-store throughout the summer.
• For the perfect after-work activity, Moleskine Creative Store at Battersea Power Station will host a free Love Letters to Books scrapbooking workshop on Tuesday 18^th August.

Looking ahead to September, Battersea Power Station’s annual celebrASIA festival returns, with the three-day celebration of South East Asian culture, food, music and arts taking place between 11^th – 13^th September. New for 2026 are a series of literature and culture panel discussions at Arches Lane Theatre, kick starting with ‘Telling Stories: Fact & Fiction’, which brings together acclaimed authors Khairani Barokka, author of Annah, Infinite, and Ivy Ngeow, author of The American Boyfriend, to explore how stories can celebrate identity and heritage while confronting difficult truths.
